Parenting Classes
Breastfeeding Class (FREE)
All classes are held the last Saturday of every other month (next one in August, then October). Classes are
held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in room 336 North Tower. Free. To register, call (843) 792-5300.
Childbirth Education Class
Enroll in childbirth education class between your 25th and 36th weeks of pregnancy. Classes start the first Monday and
Tuesday of each month. Classes are held once a week for four weeks. The cost is $50.

Getting to Know Me
A developmental class for parents of premature and sick newborns that helps parents better understand and
care for their special newborn. Premature babies or "preemies," aren't just small term babies. They have
very special needs and behaviors that can make it hard for parents to feel close to them in the hospital.
Parents may also worry about their baby's growth and development. This class will point out some of your baby's
special needs and things that will help your child's development in the hospital. Classes are held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 10 a.m. and the 2nd
and 4th Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in room 841 of the Children's Hospital. For more information, contact

Infant Massage Class
Taught by certified infant massage instructors, classes usually meet weekly for 3 - 4 sessions. Classes are designed
for you and your baby (from birth to pre-crawling). Massaging your baby is a tactile translation of love, security and physical comfort.
