The drive provides an opportunity for customers to donate books to children in need through local nonprofit organizations. This year, the West Ashley Barnes & Noble will collect books for MUSC Children's Hospital's Happy Wheels Program, while the Mount Pleasant store is collecting for The Christmas Commandos, dedicated to bringing a full Christmas to children who are facing their first yuletide after the death of a parent. The North Charleston Barnes & Noble is devoting its efforts to collecting for Toys for Tots.
