YOU will decide the 2009 Holiday Card of the Season
To beat the summer heat, children from across the state of South Carolina put away their sunscreen and summer toys and picked up their paint brushes to create holiday themed artwork for the 17th annual "Kids Helping Kids" Holiday Card Project. For the second year in a row, the public will decide who will be the Project's Card of the Season. In June, five pieces of artwork were chosen by The John M. Dunnan Gallery owner and Children's Hospital Fund Advisory Board member, John Dunnan with his son Mac's input to be the potential Card of the Season.
This year, the five potential Card of the Season artists range in age from 5-15 years old and have all been touched by the Children's Hospital in some way.
Each child has agreed to participate in this year's project to help others in need, sometimes including those dear to them or as a way to thank the
Children's Hospital that has helped them in the past.
Voting for the Card of the Season begins on August 3, 2009 and runs through August 31, 2009.
There are two ways to vote... view the original artwork at the Children's Hospital Lobby on Thursday, August 6 (11am-1:30pm), Monday, August 10 (8am-10am), Monday, August 17 (3:30pm-5:30pm), Tuesday, August 18 (11am-1:30pm) and Friday, August 21 (8am-10am) or vote online. Online voting is restricted to one vote per day.

The winning card will be announced in early fall and the winning artist will be featured in all media spots for the Holiday Card Project as well as have their artwork featured for the upcoming year as the logo of the project.
In addition to the Card of the Season finalists, 17 other artists will have their amazing artwork turned into cards for the 2009 project. Cards will be available to the public in multi-packs on November 1, 2009.
