Featured positions:
Registered Nurse IV - NICU Educator
Assumes responsiblilty for coordinating orientation and educational programs required to meet identified
patients, staff and organizational outcomes within Perinatal Services. Plans, implements and evaluates
clinical practice and educational programs which include orientation, recruitment initiatives for
perinatal/neonatal nurses and ongoing education based on specific needs and learning objectives. Collaborates
with all disciplines to support patient care and staff education. Collaborates effectively with the leadership
team to accomplish quality, safety, efficiency, recruitment and retention goals. Master's degree in Nursing
and three years of demonstrated experience in a clinical specialty area. Reports to the Perinatal Director
of the Children's Hospital. This position requires clinical expertise and knowledge of neonatal intensive
care nursing. Written and verbal communication, mentoring, coaching, leadership and organizational skills
required. The scope of this position requires staff development and life-long learning which meets the needs
of a staff which ranges from the novice to the expert nurse. (Position #A0731235) DAYS 8:15 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Pediatric Cardiothoracic ICU RNs
We have a need for experienced pediatric nurses interested in the specialty of pediatric cardiothoracic
surgery. Our 8-bed unit will soon expand to a new state-of-the-art 12-bed unit. Our nurses work
closely with our cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeon to ensure our patients with heart
conditions receive the very best care available. A pediatric critical care educator assures that
orientation and ongoing staff development needs are met. A staff development room is available
within the unit.
NNICU RNs
The NNICU at MUSC Children's Hospital is a state referral center known for all
levels of neonatal care including ECMO and pediatric surgery. This 38-bed unit treats patients
who are transferred for our many other sub specialties. This unit bases practice upon research
and care is delivered in a multi disciplinary fashion. Scheduling requirements include 36 hours per
week with flexible day/night rotation positions. These positions can be rotating or permanent.
Pediatric Medical Surgical RNs
We are seeking registered nurses for our medical/surgical pediatric units, 7A and 8D. 8D is a
family-centered infant/toddler unit treating children with a variety of medical needs, primarily
respiratory and GI. 7A is similar to 8D and cares for older children with a variety of diagnosis
and needs. Great teamwork and interdisciplinary collegiality is a large part of this unit's
philosophy. A pediatric educator assures that orientation and ongoing staff development needs are
met.
