Spina Bifida Clinic
The spina bifida program at MUSC Children's Hospital is available to all patients who carry the following diagnoses: occulta,
lipomeningocele, meningocele and myelomeningocele, and sacral agenesis.
The program is available for consultation, referral and ongoing care covering prenatal
patients through early adulthood.
The MUSC spina bifida clinic meets on one Tuesday a month and is
multidisciplinary in nature - meaning a team of health care professionals with intensive knowledge in spina
bifida care is available to assist our patients and their families.
Other services, such as social work, nutrition, speech and language pathology,
neuro-psych evaluations, vision and hearing evaluations are also available as needed.
